AmeriSpec Inspection Services

Our History

Tom SutkoTom Sutko purchased the Omaha and Lincoln offices of AmeriSpec Home Inspections in spring 2010 from John Wanninger, who started the local franchise in 1997. Since that time, the company has grown to a team of more than 20 employees that has performed nearly 100,000 home inspections. This makes AmeriSpec Nebraska one of the top inspection firms in the nation.

Tom is an AmeriSpec Certified Home Inspector. He also is licensed in Nebraska and Iowa as a Certified Radon Measurement Specialist.

Tom has more than 28 years of sales experience and operations management with Valmont, Inc. He earned his bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He also has attended Columbia University Graduate School and Harvard Business School.

AmeriSpec Nebraska has made many strides which have kept us at the forefront of the home inspection industry. From techniques we use to inspect each home, to the technology used to inspect and report, to the level of customer service provided to back them up, we are a leader in our market and nationwide.

Our Team

Our team consists of staff members, marketing directors, general managers/inspectors, and certified inspectors. The experience our team members gained from the numbers of inspections we have performed cannot be not obtained by any one-man inspection firm that offers to save you a buck or two on your home inspection for your life's largest investment.

Qualifications: There is NO Substitute for Experience!

A certified inspector is recommended if not required to inspect your new home. But a simple certification does not guarantee you a thorough home inspection. We do. Our experience ensures you that our inspectors will know not only where to look but also what they're looking at. If any condition arises that an inspector is unsure of, we have a bank of knowledge in our team of qualified inspectors to draw upon and many of which have special knowledge in various areas.

Nebraska does not have any requirements for home inspectors. At AmeriSpec, ASHI certification is required of all our inspectors. This accreditation adds strength to the experience all of our inspectors have. Please visit ASHI.org for additional information regarding these certifications. All inspectors are also state licensed for radon testing.
